That Amazing Place Wedding Photographer
Lucy & Michael
21st July 2018
That Amazing Place Wedding Photographer is pleased to present the Wedding of Lucy and Michael and the awesome That Amazing Place in Harlow, Essex.
On what was the hottest day of the year so far (although since surpassed), Lucy and Michael were preparing to say their “I Do’s” at my favourite Wedding Venue. The sun was shining, the sky was clear blue and the humidity was through the roof. For Lucy and Michael though this was going to be their most memorable day. Not because of the weather but because today was their Wedding Day.
That Amazing Place is a family run Wedding Venue situated in the Essex Countryside near Old Harlow. Formerly a 15th Century Monastery, That Amazing Place is now a luxurious manor house set within 8 acres of grounds. It even has its own lake.
We headed in to see Lucy. After a few tears when she opened Michael’s present we had a few photographs of Lucy and her Bridesmaids.
In the main building Michael was getting ready with his Groomsmen whilst their guests were arriving downstairs. After a few photographs with them it was time to head back and see Lucy. Her father was about to see her in her Wedding Dress for the very first time.
It was an emotional moment and the look of pride on his face was clear to see.
Outside everyone had taken their seats and Michael was waiting for Lucy to emerge from the house. Michael watched as the Bridesmaids and flower girls made their entrance followed by Lucy and her father.
The ceremony lasted about 20 minutes after which Lucy and Michael walked back up the aisle as husband and wife and were showered with confetti.
After giving them some time to speak to their guests we headed into the grounds for some Bride and Groom portraits accompanied by their videographer Videos of Elegance. The flowers in the gardens were in full bloom which makes great bokeh when shooting through them.
The sun was baking hot now and after a few photographs it was time for Lucy and Michael to enjoy a well deserved drink while we headed into the Marquee to shoot some table decorations.
The table decorations were supplied by Party Squared. The gold plinths on the table looked amazing holding the floral arrangements.
After the Speeches and Wedding Breakfast we set up for the first dance and also headed out down the lane to the corn fields in search of an Essex sunset. Given the weather that day it was surely on the cards. It was not quite the epic sunset I was hoping for but with a bit of off camera flash I was able to tease out some colour in the sky while making sure Lucy and Michael were perfectly lit.
The final formality of the day was the First Dance. With everyone inside the DJ warmed up with an MJ classic Man in the Mirror which got several people up and dancing straight away.
The main event though was Lucy and Michael and with everyone gathered round they made their entrance onto the dance floor for their first dance.
After a long and hot day it was time to say our goodbyes. As a That Amazing Place Wedding photographer it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding and I wish them all the best for the future and hope they have an amazing time on their honeymoon.
