Essex Wedding Photographer That Amazing Place
Anneke & Phil
8th August 2015
I first met Anneke and Phil a few months ago when they inquired about booking a Wedding Photographer. They are a great couple who share a passion for animals, so much so that their dog Harry was also included in their Wedding Day. Anneke and Phil are also both Police Officers and the Police theme was present throughout their day; from black and white ribbon on Anneke’s bouquet to a classic former police car as the Wedding Car.
When I arrived to photograph Anneke getting ready she was surprisingly calm and collected. All her family and Bridesmaids were there to lend their support. The wedding car arrived a short while later and the driver continued the theme by wearing a full ceremonial police uniform.
At the Wedding venue Phil, dressed in his tunic, was eagerly waiting with Harry the dog, his Best Men and their guests for Anneke to arrive. The Ceremony was set up outside under a large mature tree with overhanging branches. Anneke and Phil had made their vows the previous day and today was a civil blessing ceremony. As their guests took their seats in the shade of the tree the sound of a police siren could be heard echoing through the Essex countryside signaling the arrival of the Bride.
The Civil Celebrant announced in the Bride and Groom and, following Anneke, an emotional Phil made his personal vows to her. The service concluded, it was time to enjoy the summer sun with a well deserved drink. As Anneke and Phil chatted with their guests, Harry was also getting a fair bit of attention, the puppy dog eyes clearly working their magic.
Anneke and Phil were a great couple to work for. Every aspect of their day was well planned and thought out and best of all they were really keen to have lots of photographs taken. A small garden to the side of the venue provided the ideal location for some Bride and Groom portrait shots and a large Weeping Willow tree overhanging the brook at the bottom of the gardens added further to the romance of the venue and the shots they had in mind for their special day.
As the evening set in the smell of a cooking BBQ filled the air making everyone’s mouths water, Harry’s especially, though he was enjoying playing fetch with his tennis ball.
Before long it was time for Anneke and Phil to cut the cake and have their first dance. Their guests filled the lounge and surrounded them as the music played and Anneke and Phil shared their First Dance together as husband and wife. Eventually their guests were requested to join them on the dance floor as Anneke and Phil then danced with their parents.
As evening turned to night there was time for one more photograph. A stunning Bride and Groom portrait as the sun set over the Manor house. Unfortunately on this occasion there was no spectacular sun set, however, the clouds in the sky were brought to life as the off camera flash perfectly lit the Bride and Groom standing in front of their Wedding Venue.
Anneke and Phil planned the perfect day and I am honored to have been chosen to photograph it. Anneke and Phil (and Harry) were a pleasure to work with and I wish them every happiness for the future.
