Wedding Photographer That Amazing Place
Elly & Maria
14th September 2018
Today I was at the fabulous That Amazing Place to photograph the wedding of Elly and Maria.
Originally built in the 15th Century as a Monastery That Amazing Place, also known as Hubbards Hall, is nestled in the Essex Countryside near Harlow. This Grade II listed property was once a residential property. It has now been revamped by its current owners and re-opened therefore as one of the premier Essex wedding venues.
When I arrived Elly and Maria were in a bit of a panic. It’s natural of course, it’s their big day and they want everything to be perfect. After a little reassurance that everything was on track and that all their suppliers had arrived they seemed to calm down and begin to enjoy the day.
Both Elly and Maria were very emotional. There were more than a few tears throughout the day and there was huge anticipation as they met each other at the bottom of the stairs before the ceremony. You could tell by the look on their faces how much this day meant to them.
By this point their guests were all seated outside waiting for the Brides to make their grand entrance. Elly and Maria walked out of the main building hand in hand and across the lawn to two very proud waiting fathers who met them at the end of the carpeted aisle.
After the ceremony they both looked ecstatic to be handed their marriage certificate. Now it was time to truly relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
With their wedding photographer That Amazing Place we headed off into the gardens for some bridal photographs. Elly and Maria and a late afternoon wedding and the low early evening sun we now had was giving us some really warm Golden Hour light and creating beautiful long shadows.
Back at the main house everyone was getting ready to sit down for the wedding breakfast in the marquee. After a few moving speeches and a speech leaving everyone in hysterics by the sister of the Maria it was time for us to retire and set up for the evening.
Elly and Maria had hired the Studio Booth for some fun shots after their first dance.
The music was supplied courtesy of a DJ, Sax and Bongos combination. Which I have to say was pretty awesome. The Saxophonist was truly exceptional and I’ve never seen such a busy dance floor.
Elly and Maria shared their First Dance. Everyone from there was either on the dance floor or having some wacky photographs taken in the Studio Booth.
It was a pleasure to photograph Elly and Maria’s big day. They are an amazing couple and I wish them all the very best for the future.
